
Welcome to the Kansas Association of Hostage Negotiators website. We welcome those of you who are new to our site. We also would like to welcome back those of you have visited before. You will notice that we have changed the overall appearance of our site in an attempt to provide up-to-date information regarding crisis negotiation training in the area.
KAHN (Pronounced "can") was formed in 2001 when representatives of the Kansas Highway Patrol, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Kansas City P.D., Olathe P.D., Topeka P.D., Wichita P.D., and the Overland Park P.D. came together to address a need for a state association for crisis/hostage negotiators. KAHN is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of crisis negotiations within the field of law enforcement. The association strives to establish a standard for Kansas negotiators to share resources and intelligence with the goal of preserving life through non-violent means.

UPCOMING TRAINING
NEGOTIATOR TRAINING-On April 24, 25, 26, 2012 KAHN along with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department will be hosting a three day "Intro to Negotiating" training class in Independence Kansas. Click this link for more information.
The Kansas Association of Hostage Negotiators will be hosting live scenario training on May 22nd & 23rd, 2012 at the Johnson County Regional Police Academy in Overland Park, Ks. Spaces are limited for teams. Cost is $35.00 per person which includes automatic 2012 KAHN membership renewal, and lunch.
