WHAT IS KAHN?

KAHN (Pronounced “can”) was formed in 2000 when representatives of the Kansas Highway Patrol, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Kansas City P.D., Olathe P.D., Topeka P.D., Wichita P.D., and Overland Park P.D. came together to address a need for a state association for crisis/hostage negotiators.

KAHN is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of crisis negotiations within the field of law enforcement. The association strives to establish a standard for Kansas negotiators to share resources and intelligence with the goal of preserving life through non-violent means.
